Overview

The Fighter is a front-line melee preset that pairs Warfare with Geomancer magic. Warfare skills provide crowd control and physical damage, while Geomancer spells restore and strengthen physical armour. The preset favours Strength and Constitution, and starts with a one-handed weapon and shield.

Like all classes in Divinity: Original Sin 2, the Fighter is a starting preset rather than a permanent choice. Attribute and ability points can be allocated freely on each level-up, and full respecification is available from Act Two onward via the magic mirror aboard the Lady Vengeance. Enabling the Fort Joy Magic Mirror gift bag feature also makes a mirror available in Act One.

Of all origin characters, The Red Prince uses this preset by default.

Battle StompBattle Stomp (Warfare)
Knocks down enemies in front of the caster and clears surfaces such as ice and fire.
Bouncing ShieldBouncing Shield (Warfare)
Throws the equipped shield at one enemy. If another enemy is within 5 metres, they are struck as well.
FortifyFortify (Geomancer)
Restores and increases the caster's physical armour. While fortified, the target cannot be teleported. Also removes Poisoned, Bleeding, Burning, Acid, and Decaying.

The OpportunistOpportunist talent grants a free attack of opportunity against any enemy that moves within melee range.

The Fighter mercenary is Nestor, a dwarven warrior available for hire from Sergeant ZrillaSergeant Zrilla.

Nestor's the dwarf for you then – brawny fellow, good on the attack and the defence.
