Sleeping is a status effect in Divinity: Original Sin 2.

Description

Sleeping is a negative skill status effect. Characters afflicted by it will be unable to act as long as they do not receive damage or are otherwise through other status effects awoken.

Cause

Sleeping can be primarily by skills and items. Most notably through Scoundrel skill and weapons.

Treatment

As with any other negative status effect, there are two ways how to avoid and negate its effects. First its important to keep Magic armour value above 0. Secondly status effect Clear-Minded protect from being affected by Sleeping.

Magic armour restoration

Sleeping can be resisted if character has Magic armour above 0 or is immune to this status effect outright (most common with Undead NPCs). This does not apply to characters with Glass Cannon talent.

Following skills will remove Sleeping status entirely.
