The Battlemage is a warrior class in Divinity: Original Sin 2.
“Amplifies brute strength with powerful magic.„
Overview
editThe Battlemage is an aggressive melee preset that pairs Warfare with Aerotheurge magic. Warfare skills provide physical crowd control through charges and knockdowns, while Aerotheurge spells add air damage and debuffs such as blindness and shocking at close range. The preset favours Strength, Intelligence, and Constitution, and starts with two one-handed weapons.
Like all classes in Divinity: Original Sin 2, the Battlemage is a starting preset rather than a permanent choice. Attribute and ability points can be allocated freely on each level-up, and full respecification is available from Act Two onward via the magic mirror aboard the Lady Vengeance. Enabling the Fort Joy Magic Mirror gift bag feature also makes a mirror available in Act One.
Of all origin characters, Beast uses this preset by default.
