From dos2.wiki
Torturer
With Torturer, certain statuses caused by you are no longer blocked by Magic or Physical Armour, and their duration is extended by one turn. Burning, Poisoned, Bleeding, Necrofire, Acid, Suffocating, Entangled, Death Wish and Ruptured Tendons.

Torturer is a talent.

Overview

edit

Torturer causes the following status effects inflicted by the character to bypass physical and magic armour and last one additional turn: Burning, Poisoned, Bleeding, Necrofire, Acid, Suffocating, Entangled, Death Wish, and Ruptured Tendons.

These statuses are applied regardless of how the effect is delivered – basic attacks, skills, grenades, arrows, and surfaces all benefit. The talent affects only the character who has it and does not extend to summons or totems.

Strategy

  • Torturer is one of the strongest offensive talents in the game. Its signature interaction is Worm TremorWorm Tremor combined with Torturer – Entangled bypasses magic armour entirely, locking enemies in place for three turns and enabling devastating follow-up damage.
  • Applying Burning through armour inflicts −15% fire resistance before the main damage phase, amplifying subsequent Pyrokinetic spells.
  • Torturer is a priority pick at level 3 for any Geomancer user, as the next talent point is not available until level 8.
  • The talent also extends status durations by one turn, which increases the value of damage-over-time effects and sustained crowd control.
  • Combined with Glass CannonGlass Cannon, Torturer enables a powerful opening: use Worm Tremor to lock enemies down, then cloak with Chameleon CloakChameleon Cloak to avoid retaliation.
