Wet is a status effect in Divinity: Original Sin 2.

Description

Wet is an environmental status effect applied whenever character comes into contact with water surface such as puddles, rivers, lakes etc. It is one of the few status effects that is applied regardless of Armour, Resistances or Immunities. Whenever character is Wet they will suffer from decreased water resistance by 10 % and decreased air resistance by 20 %, however their fire resistance will be increased by 10 %.

Cause

There are many ways through which wet status effect can be triggered. On Rivellon it is the contact with water surface or most notably entering Stonegarden where it rains most of the time. In combat Wet status can be triggered by items or by Rain hydrosophist spell.

Wet is one of the few status effect that is applied regardless of Armour, Resistances or Immunities. The only way it can be treated is through anything that causes Burning status which will turn Wet status into Warm status. One of the ways to achieve this is by coming into contact with fire surface or fire cloud.
