This page lists the various creature types found throughout Divinity: Original Sin 2.

Animals

Animals are the natural inhabitants of Rivellon. They are mostly non-hostile and roam freely across the world. Characters with the Pet PalPet Pal talent can speak with them.

Common animals include bears, wolves, deer, crabs, chickens, and various birds.

Voidwoken

The Voidwoken are beasts corrupted by the Void, drawn to the use of Source and hostile toward every living being, including Undead. They range from small voidlings to massive creatures like the Kraken.

Undead

Undead are restless souls denied rest in the Hall of Echoes. They appear in many forms – from mindless desiccated husks and decomposing warriors to fully sentient beings like FaneFane. Most undead encountered in combat are hostile, though notable exceptions exist.

Demons

Demons are children of the Lord of ChaosLord of Chaos who prey on the children of the Seven Gods. They are usually hostile but open to deals – deals that invariably favour the demon. The most prominent demon is AdramahlihkAdramahlihk, the Deceiver. Other demons include lesser demons and the demonhounds.

Trolls

Trolls are large, powerful creatures found across Rivellon. They often guard bridges or passages and can sometimes be reasoned with. Notable trolls include Grog the TrollGrog the Troll, Krug the TrollKrug the Troll, and Marg the TrollMarg the Troll.

Elementals

Elementals are creatures composed of pure elemental energy. They include various totems and sentinels, such as the Clay Sentinel and the elemental guardians found in the Arena of Fort Joy.

Gheists

Gheists are terrifying undead creatures encountered at several points, from The Merryweather to the Tomb of Lucian. They are fast, deadly, and capable of teleportation.

Constructs

[edit | edit source]

Constructs are mechanical or magically animated creatures. The Eternals created various constructs including the Eternal Sentinels, Eternal Stalkers, and Eternal Protectors found on The Nameless Isle.

Imps are small, mischievous creatures that inhabit pocket realms. They are encountered primarily in the Impish Pocket Realm and related areas.

Fire Slugs

Fire Slugs are molten creatures found primarily on Reaper's Eye. Most are hostile, though some like Zenthia can be interacted with peacefully. The Courteous Fire Slug is a notable non-hostile example.

Scarecrows

[edit | edit source]

Animated scarecrows are found on the Reaper's Coast, brought to life through dark magic. They include Enchanted Scarecrows and Undead Scarecrows.
