The Pawn grants 1 free AP of movement at the start of each turn. This movement AP can only be used for walking – it cannot be spent on skills or attacks.

Strategy

  • The Pawn provides 1 free AP of movement each turn, which is useful for characters who need to reposition frequently.
  • Many experienced players find that mobility skills such as Cloak And DaggerCloak And Dagger, Tactical RetreatTactical Retreat, and Phoenix DivePhoenix Dive handle repositioning effectively, reducing the need for The Pawn.
  • The Pawn is most valuable on characters who lack access to mobility skills, or on builds that need to save their mobility skills for other purposes.
  • On Tactician difficulty and above, offensive talents like ExecutionerExecutioner or Elemental AffinityElemental Affinity are often preferred, as ending fights faster through damage provides more value than positioning flexibility.
