Damn it. Damn it all.
Someone's gone and taken the Second Passion of Lucian from the garden vault - probably one of those filthy little hooligans skulking in the sewers. How they found the entrance beneath the garden I may never know, but one thing's clear: I've got at least one little pair of eyes trained on me.
Bloody rascals. That painting was my pride and joy - a masterpiece in its own right, and a most elegant way of accessing the lower vault, besides. Once the appraiser's finished her work, I'll look into additional security measures.
