Dual Wielding is a weapon combat ability in Divinity: Original Sin 2 that increases damage and dodging when a character wields two one-handed weapons.
Overview
[edit | edit source]See also: Combat Abilities
Dual Wielding provides passive bonuses whenever a character has a one-handed weapon equipped in both the main hand and off-hand. This includes any combination of swords, daggers, maces, axes, or wands. The ability does not apply when using a two-handed weapon, a weapon with a shield, or when the off-hand is empty.
Each point invested in Dual Wielding grants +5% damage and +1% dodging.

Notes
[edit | edit source]- The damage bonus from Dual Wielding applies to both weapons. Combined with the natural second attack from dual wielding, this makes it a strong option for damage-focused builds.
- The dodging bonus stacks with other sources of dodging, such as the Parry Master talent and Finesse-based equipment.
- Dual Wielding is particularly effective for Scoundrel builds that use daggers, as the extra attack and dodging complement the school's critical-focused playstyle.
- Wands can be dual wielded, making this ability relevant for mage builds that do not use staves or shields.
- The Ambidextrous talent provides a complementary effect – reducing AP cost of grenades and scrolls when the off-hand is free – and is therefore not synergistic with Dual Wielding.
