Unstable

From dos2.wiki
Unstable
Unstable makes you explode in a bloody cloud when you die, dealing 100% of your Vitality as physical damage in a 3 metre radius.

Unstable is a talent.

Overview

edit

Unstable causes the character to explode upon death, dealing physical damage equal to their maximum vitality to all characters – friend and foe alike – within a 3-metre radius.

Strategy

  • Unstable is a weak talent. It requires the character to die to provide any benefit, which is inherently undesirable. Investing the talent point in an offensive talent that prevents deaths by ending fights faster is almost always better.
  • The explosion damages allies as well as enemies, creating additional risk for the party.
  • The damage scales with maximum vitality, but even at high vitality values, the damage is rarely enough to change the outcome of a fight that has already resulted in a party member dying.
  • Unstable does not trigger when Comeback KidComeback Kid activates, because Comeback Kid prevents death rather than resurrecting the character.
