Ingredients are a type of items in Divinity: Original Sin 2.

Description

Ingredients are items which are most notably used for crafting purposes. Some of them can be consumed in order to gain some bonuses (mainly concerns herbs and mushrooms). Note that while nearly all of the ingredients are used in crafting, not all items usable in crafting are categorised as ingredients. Some items on the list can be used in crafting, or be crafted, only if specific Gift Bag feature is enabled. Most notably this pertains to Gift Bag: Song of Nature features: Crafter's Kit and Herb Gardens.

All of these items can be found on Rivellon by trading with NPCs, by looting chests, as part of quest rewards or randomly in the world itself.

The ingredients can be sorted into two categories: herbs (including mushrooms) and crafting components. Both can be found under Ingredients tab in inventory but in case of traders, quests and chests they can be found separatedly. For example: trader Leste specialises only in selling Herbs and therefore she will not sell the player Animal Scales (but she will sell Empty Potion Bottles). However Nebora is more likely to sell Animal Scales as she specialises in crafting components.

Traders

Ingredients can be bought from many NPCs (including the ones that are not classified as "traders"). However there are NPCs that sell only certain sort of "ingredients" used in crafting. Some sell only herbs, others sell only metallic parts or similar crafting components.
