Death Wish is a Necromancer skill. It allows the caster to boost the damage of a target character (including hostile and neutral characters) in proportion to their lost Vitality for 2 turns.

Description

edit

The damage bonus is equal to the percentage of lost Vitality. For example, a character with 30% Vitality left will gain a +70% bonus to damage and a character with only 1% Vitality left will receive 99% bonus to damage done. This bonus is applied to damage itself and visible under the damage attribute.

Note however, that the actual bonus to damage varies between characters who rely on weapon-based skills and magic-based skills. The bonus provided by Death Wish is categorised as a Miscellaneous bonus. As such, when dealing damage through a skill based on weapon damage (e.g. Battle Stomp) it will stack additively with weapon based damage, thus it will provide a lesser damage boost than stated. For magic-based skills such as Fireball, the Death Wish bonus is calculated multiplicatively and thus it truly provides the stated bonus to damage. This bonus however does not apply to skills that transfer or redirect damage such as the Warfare skill Deflective Barrier or the Necromancer skill Shackles Of Pain.

Since Death Wish relies on Necromancy magic it cannot be cast if the character is affected by Silenced or Enraged status effects.
