Vitality

From dos2.wiki

Vitality or health as it is known in later games, is the potential damage a character can take in the Divinity series. For the player characters throughout the series, it is a derived statistic that can only be increased permanently via the levelling of attributes or or temporarily via equipment.

Points Description
0-100 You are nigh unto death. Call a priest!
100-200 You're in a very bad way. Try not to move about too much and conserve your strength and you might just make it.
200-400 You've been in the wars, but it's nothing to be too concerned about. Avoid getting into any more trouble before you've had a few days to rest and heal a little
400-? You're a bit battered, but you're still up for some action. Bring 'em on!
?

Vitality cannot be increased during leveling directly, but Constitution affects vitality to a varying degree depending on the class. Vitality can also be affected by Charms, Bless and various Prefixes and Suffixes on gear.

Class Vitality per constitution point

Mage 4

Divinity II Dragon Knight Saga

Description

Template:Quote

  • For each 1 point invested in Vitality the Dragon Knight receives + 7 Hitpoints.
  • The value for Hitpoints at level 1 without armor bonuses is 71.
Points Description
1-15 Someone needs but to cough in your direction and you're at death's door. Always stay indoors in a well-aired, warm room and drink plenty of fluids.
16-20 You're pretty unfit and over-react to the slightest of hurts. However strong and dextrous you may be, your weak constitution undermines your efficacy as an adventurer.
21-40 You are of average human fitness. You can tough it out in rough play, but don't trust your constitution to get you by under all circumstances.
41-60 Your body is hard, well-functioning mechanism. You rarely get sick and cuts that would keep other people bedridden for weeks go almost unnoticed by you.
61-100 Your body must be made of oak. You've never been sick a day in your life and the concept of pain does not ring a bell at all.

Hitpoints

edit

Template:Quote

  • For every 1 level the Knight receives + 4 hitpoints.
Points Description
1-120 You are as frail as a newborn kitten. And though kittens are extremely cute, they are not fit for close combat. So neither are you.
121-200 The life force you can muster is a tad below average. Soldier all you like, but avoid the front lines.
201-300 You're as healthy and full of beans as wolf cubs in Springtime. Time for another adventure!
301-400 Your life force is impressive enough for you to tell a Demon it can go and romance a tree trunk, and survive the ensuing battle.
401 and more Your life force rivals that of the demi-god heroes of tales and legends. It's about time people start worshipping you!
