Stench
Stench decreases everyone's attitude towards you by 25, but melee opponents find you less attractive in combat.

Stench is a talent.

Overview

[edit source]

Stench causes a −25 attitude penalty with all NPCs, but melee enemies are less likely to target the character. It does not affect ranged attacks or spells.

Strategy

  • Stench is a niche defensive talent. Melee enemies preferring other targets can protect fragile backline characters, but the talent does not prevent ranged attacks, spells, or area-of-effect damage.
  • The −25 attitude penalty affects Bartering prices and dialogue. Stench should only be taken on characters who do not engage in dialogue or trade.
  • The defensive benefit is unreliable compared to crowd control, which prevents enemies from acting entirely rather than merely redirecting them. Offensive talents are generally a better use of the talent point.
  • The internal talent ID is `Stench`.
