Overview

Pet Pal grants the ability to converse with animals throughout Rivellon. Animals provide unique dialogue, quests, lore, and sometimes tangible rewards.

Strategy

• Pet Pal unlocks a significant amount of content that is otherwise inaccessible, including several quests and experience points from animal interactions.
• Only one party member needs Pet Pal for the entire party to benefit. It is commonly taken on the party leader alongside Persuasion.
• The talent does not provide any combat benefit, so it competes with offensive talents for a skill slot. On a first playthrough, the content it unlocks is generally considered worth the investment.
• The Animal Empathy gift bag feature grants Pet Pal to all party members for free, though this disables achievements.
